Instead of butting the round stock to a counterbore bung or spending a ton of time making custom ends, simply insert the sissy bar or strut rod end into the machined bungs and weld to make a perfect custom motorcycle fender. Machined to accept 1 2" round stock, with a 5 16" mounting hole drilled at the bottom of each strut end.
